  • Meet Our Staff | CCB

    Our Administrative Team Amy Hall Amy Hall is the President and CEO. She has been with CCB for over 24 years, with previous experience as the Program Manager of Family Support Programs, and as the Program Director of the Family Center and Healthy Families Programs. Amy has a MSW and a BA in Psychology and a Certificate of Non-profit Management. ​ Amy's favorite childhood book is Jillian Jiggs by Phoebe Gilman. Sharon Pessolano Sharon Pessolano has been with Child Care of the Berkshires since 1987. One of her early roles was as a Billing Specialist; she was promoted to the role of Finance Director in 2005. Sharon has extensive experience in accounting and financial oversight gained from her more than 30 years of experience with CCB. She serves on the Senior Management Team and manages all administrative and financial aspects of CCB. Sharon’s favorite children’s book is Hansel and Gretel , a Grimms fairy tale. Jana Kumar Jana Kumar is the Human Resources Director at Child Care of the Berkshires, joining CCB in May 2022. Jana graduated from the University of Connecticut with dual degrees in Risk and Insurance and Resource Economics, focusing on Human Resources. Her two previous roles were providing human resources management (recruiting, hiring, and coordinating benefits) at farms in Pittsfield and Edgartown, MA. Her other positions include previous roles in a wide variety of fields including working as a licensed skincare expert at spas in NY and MA, and sales roles in the technology and retail industries. She was raised in Massachusetts and is an only child. Her mother is originally from Marthas Vineyard and comments that Jana always wanted a book, not a toy. She recently adopted a stray cat named Harley. Janas favorite book is Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish. Program Managers Tamara Stephens Tamara Stephens is the Program Manager of the Child Care Services and oversees all aspects of the child care system: enrollment, licensing, curriculum, quality improvements, and policy and protocols. Tamara has experience as a former kindergarten teacher in Indiana. Tamara has a MA in Education and a BS in Education with a kindergarten endorsement. Tamara’s favorite children’s book is I Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. Karen Rowe Karen Rowe is the Program Manager of Family Support Programs. Previously, she coordinated Northern Berkshire ParentChild+ Program for 6 years, . Her previous experience includes serving as a Coordinator of a Community Health Education grant. Karen has a MSW and a BS in Business Administration. Karen’s favorite children’s book is One Morning in Maine by Robert McCloskey. Program Directors Kelly Phillips Kelly Phillips is the Program Director at Monument Square and Magic Seasons Early Childhood and School-Age Centers. She has worked at the Monument Square Center for 24 years beginning as an infant and toddler teacher and later the assistant director. Kelly has a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on children and families, and an AA in Early Childhood Education. Kelly's favorite children's book is Good Families Don't by Robert Munsch. Tammy Hoag Tammy Hoag is the Program Director of Family Child Care and Child Care Services, overseeing a staff of specialists to assist high risk children to have a positive early learning experience in CCB's child care programs. Tammy has worked for CCB for over 30 years as an infant teacher, as an education and nutrition specialist for the Family Child Care System and as a child development specialist. She has a BA in Sociology and an AA in Human Services. Tammy’s favorite children’s book is Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin. Rosa Hernandez-O'Neil Rosa is the program director at Magic Seasons, joining CCB in June 2023. Rosa has worked in the early childhood field since she was 16, starting as an assistant teacher working her way up to director. Rosa graduated with her AA in early childhood education in June 2023, and is now working towards her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on children & families from MCLA. Rosa’s favorite children’s book is Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. Johna Lemoine Johna Lemoine is the Program Director of the ParentChild+ Program in Central Berkshire County. She has been with CCB since 2015. Johna has a BA in Human Services with a focus on children and families. Her previous experience includes running a home child care, Site Director of YMCA, and Working with DCF families through a Parenting Partner program. Johna’s favorite children’s book is Are You My Mother? By P.D. Eastman Becky Krysiak Becky Krysiak is the Program Director of the Healthy Families Program, a role she has held for 18 years. She has been with CCB for a total of 23 years working in a variety of roles that include a health educator with the Tobacco Education Program and the Childhood Lead Prevention Program. Becky has a MS in Community Health Education and a BS in Biology. Becky’s favorite children’s book is Owl Moon by Jane Yolen. Bethany Prince-Malloy Bethany Prince-Malloy is the Program Director of the Northern Berkshire Family Center and coordinates the various components key to a quality family support center. She has worked for the Family Center for the past eight years as the Family Support Specialist. Bethany has a BS in Social Work and specialized training in crisis hotline work. Bethany’s favorite children’s book is The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss. Christen Romanick Christen Romanick is the Program Director of the Northern Berkshire ParentChild+ Program and ParentChild+ for Family Child Care. She has worked at CCB since 2017, and her passion is for partnering with caregivers to help children thrive. Christen loves collaborating with parents, child care providers, and her amazing team of Early Learning Specialists to develop experiences that help children learn and gain new skills while having fun with the adults they love most. She has a BA from Williams College and an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania. ​ Christen’s favorite children’s book is Bear Wants More by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman. Sean Carollo Sean Carollo is the Program Director and Case Manager of the Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, graduating Cum Laude from Williams College with a BA in History and English. He brings with him diverse knowledge from a variety of sectors, including Hospitality and Arts and Culture. ​ Sean’s favorite children’s book is I-Know-Not-What, I-Know-Not-Where by Eric Kimmel.
